  • Your child must be registered to attend any of the JDF soccer assessments.
  • The registration software allows for secure Credit Card or E-Check payment through Paypal.
  • Registration must include full payment on fees (those waiting for Financial Assistant programs will be the exception) before a player will be assigned to a team.
  • In some divisions, the club does fill up and players can get waitlisted. Please make sure you register early.
  • For new players, a "Proof of Age" document must be on file with JDF. If this is your first time registering with us, you must include a photocopy of one of the following documents with your registration: Birth Certificate, Baptismal Certificate, Passport, Citizenship card/papers, Immigration papers, Status Indian card, or Sworn affidavit. Proof of Age can be:

Family Discount

Families (2 or more in Youth program) will be given a $15 discount for every registration after the first full player payment.  Full price for the 1st child, $15 off fees for each additional child. You must register as a family by using the add a child button on the registration form to receive the family discount.

 

Payment Fee structure - NEW

In past years, the JDF Soccer Association has had some challenges in collecting instalment payments in full, and/or in a timely fashion from our soccer families. As such, we now require full payment at the time of registration.   Grant families are exempt from the initial payment.  Those whose fees have not been paid or initiated will be waitlisted.

Jersey Deposits 

House, Mini, Youth and Adult Players: A separate cheque is required as a deposit for the jersey. This will be returned at the end of the season when the jersey is returned.   Do not send jersey deposit cheques to JDF at the time of registration.

Coaches and/or Managers are to collect a $50.00 jersey deposit cheque postdated to April 1st, 2019 (made out to JDF Soccer Association) at the beginning of the season and present a complete set of cheques for the team prior to uniform pick up. Uniforms will not be issued to players that have not provided a deposit cheque.

Cheques will be returned to the Coach and/or Manager at the end of the season upon return of complete sets of jerseys. Deposit Cheques will be cashed by the Association for all missing jerseys after June 1, 2019 unless specific arrangements have been made with the uniform manager (example: Cup play or Tournaments).

There is a new Refundable Volunteer Fee of $50 per family this yearJDF Soccer is a volunteer based non-profit society that relies on its members [family] to volunteer some of their time to meet its commitments to its players and the local soccer community.   As the club has had challenges in acquiring volunteers in the past, we are now implementing a $50 refundable volunteer fee for the 2018/19 season. This volunteer model is very similar and aligns with other clubs within the Lower Island Soccer Association.  JDF Soccer is one of the last organizations to implement this fee, but as we are struggling to get volunteers, we feel it is required.   If a player’s family volunteers at least 5 hours in the season, the $50 will be refunded at the end of the season.  To register as a volunteer, please select how you wish to assist when registering your child, via the registration system. 

WHAT DO YOUR SOCCER FEES COVER? 

  • Almost seven months of soccer (September to March)
  • Payments to BC Soccer Association and Lower Island Soccer Association
  • $37 per player for U10 and under
  • $71 per player for U11 and above
    • Group sports insurance
  • Uniforms
  • Equipment – practice and game balls, cones, flags, nets, pinnies, medical kits
  • Photographs (team photo)
  • Access to FREE JDF soccer training:
    • JDF Training nights (typically offered for U7 – U14)
    • Goalie specific training
  • Technical Directors for Timbits and Youth programs
  • LISA tournament registration fees – a tournament for the U8-U12 players
  • Wind up jamboree
  • Coaching certification, training and Criminal Record Checks
  • Game Referees and referee training
  • Awards night ceremony
  • Financial Support to Teams participating in the Provincial Play-offs
  • Field Rentals: Other associations have field space donated by their municipality for little or no cost.  

At JDF, we pay almost $230,000 annually for field and washroom rentals.   This breaks down to approximately $150 per player.

Did you know that Royal Bay Turf Field lights cost $100,000 and were paid for by JDF Soccer.  This was done so that the turf field could be used by our teams for games and practices due to shortage of field time at other locations.

 

Financial Assistance

During the registration process, if financial assistance is required, please note in the “Comment Section” that you are applying for financial assistance. Players that are applying for assistance through Kidsport, Sport AssistAthletics for kids or Jumpstart require confirmation from the organization that the application has been received before the player is assigned to a team, you don't have to receive your assistance before your child will be placed.

 

REFUND POLICY - New information 

If a player must de-register, Refund Request Form must be completed and sent to the Registrar by mail to:

Requests received by September 1 will receive a full refund, less fees paid to the governing bodies and $25 administration fee.  Requests received until October 31st will receive 50% refund less fees paid on behalf of player and $25 administration fee.  After Oct 31st, no refunds are given unless a medical note is received.  Refunds will not be processed until after October 15th.
